# Events

Run member-only workshops, launches, in-store events, online sessions and meetups with Memberply. Members can RSVP directly or complete Shopify checkout for a free or paid ticket, and you can offer one complimentary or paid guest per member.

Events are configured in **Benefits > Edit Benefits > Events > Edit**. If you have not enabled the benefit yet, start with [Events benefit](/creating-membership-benefits/events-benefit.md).

## Set up your events

Shopify handles checkout, payment and ticket product inventory. Memberply handles event eligibility, RSVPs, guest records and event notifications. Sharing an event product link with an existing calendar does not create or synchronize calendar entries.
