# Create a member discount benefit

**Setup time is approximately 2 minutes**

The member discount benefit is what triggers the incentive for a customer to join your membership program.

1. Select the membership tier that will contain the member discount benefit and click Edit Benefits.

2. Toggle the member discount to Enabled.

3. Click on Edit to edit the member discount.

4. Fill out the settings for your member discount.

5. Click on Save.
