Legacy customer accounts

These guides are for stores that still use Shopify's legacy customer accounts. Most stores should follow the main Getting started guide for Shopify customer accounts.

Shopify deprecated legacy customer accounts on February 26, 2026. Stores already using them can continue for now, but Shopify recommends upgrading to customer accounts. A final sunset date will be announced later in 2026. Learn more from Shopify.
