# Business customer program examples

Membership applications are not limited to one industry. Use separate application programs when customer groups need different eligibility questions, membership tiers, or benefits.

## Trade and contractor pricing

A building materials, wall panel, flooring, plumbing, tank, irrigation, or landscaping supplier can ask for:

* Business name and number
* Website or portfolio
* Trade or service type
* Service area
* Products of interest
* Expected purchasing range

Approved contractors could receive a free trade tier with member discounts, or a paid annual tier that includes better pricing, shipping benefits, technical resources, and spend-based discount levels.

## Interior designer and architect programs

Furniture, homewares, lighting, surface, and decor merchants can review studio details, portfolio links, project types, and expected purchasing before activating designer pricing or early product access.

## Beauty professional programs

Skincare, cosmetics, salon, and wellness brands can qualify salon owners, beauticians, therapists, or other professionals before providing professional products, education, locked content, or practitioner discounts.

## Wholesale and stockist access

Apparel, food, lifestyle, and consumer brands can collect store locations, resale channels, websites, categories, and purchasing expectations from potential retailers before granting wholesale or stockist membership benefits.

## Hospitality and foodservice accounts

Food, beverage, equipment, and supply merchants can review cafes, restaurants, caterers, hotels, and venues before offering hospitality packs, recurring purchasing benefits, or commercial pricing.

## Professional and institutional programs

Create approval-first programs for:

* Schools, teachers, and training providers
* Clinics and healthcare practices
* Automotive workshops and fleet operators
* Breeders, groomers, trainers, shelters, and veterinary clinics
* Farms and rural businesses
* Technology resellers, agencies, and consultants
* Photographers, venues, planners, and production companies
* Charities, associations, clubs, and community organisations
* Franchisees, affiliates, corporate partners, and employee groups

## Example spend-based trade benefit

An approved trade membership could use yearly purchasing levels such as:

* $0 to $4,999: 10% member discount
* $5,000 to $10,000: 15% member discount
* More than $10,000: 20% member discount

With the [spend tiered discounts benefit](/creating-membership-benefits/spend-tiered-discounts-benefit.md), you can choose whether tax and shipping count, whether eligible purchases before approval count, and whether refunds can reduce an earned level.

The application decides who is eligible to enter the program. The membership tier and benefits decide what an active approved customer receives.
