# What's new and the changelog

Select the sparkle icon, **What's new**, in the top bar of the Memberply merchant dashboard to see the latest published updates. On smaller screens the label is hidden, but the sparkle button remains available.

A small dot indicates an update you have not opened in this browser. When an unread update is available, the button briefly animates once per browser tab session. It stops when you open the panel and respects your reduced-motion preference. Opening the panel marks the displayed updates as seen. This uses browser storage, so another browser or device may still show the dot.

Select **Read update** for the full announcement, or **View all updates** to open the [public changelog on the Memberply website](https://www.memberply.com/changelog). Each update explains what changed and includes relevant feature and help links. Feature setup links lead to the help centre. Use your store’s Memberply dashboard to open the feature.

The changelog shows approved announcements only. If no announcements have been approved yet, it displays an empty state. A loading error offers **Try again** and does not mark updates as read.

Dates shown on announcements are the original feature release dates, including for historical updates. The website changelog is ordered by release date. The dashboard highlights newly published announcements, so you can still discover an older feature when its announcement is added later. An older announcement with an unverified release date may temporarily appear without a date.
